INK SWAB: 93/365 – Caran d’Ache Amazon
Whew. I love this ink. Well, I loved it. Sadly, Amazon is part of the discontinued line of inks from Caran d’Ache and is no longer available. Bummer.
INK SWAB: 92/365 – Rohrer & Klingner Alt-Goldgrun
People love R&K Alt-Goldgrun.
I have two confessions….
- I misread every post and label for ages and thought this ink was called alt-goldRUN
- I think the swab here looks interesting, but I’m not a huge fan of the color out of the pen

A wonderfully saturated and happy blue – Pilot Namiki Blue.

De Atramentis Magenta Violet is an aptly-named purply ink.
I’ve not written with this one and would love to hear what you think of it if you have.

Noodler’s Baystate Blue
Famous and infamous – Noodler’s Baystate Blue has a reputation for a couple of things: 1) its great big booming blue color, and 2) it’s propensity to stain everything it touches.
My experience . . . 1) I don’t think the color is something that a writer can’t find somewhere else, and I think it leans toward the purple side in real life practical use, and 2) I wouldn’t put it in my demonstrator, or my favorite pen, or my lightly colored pen, or my new pen, or my vintage pen.
You see what I’m saying? And…do you agree?
