Seems like I have a huge number of black ink samples that I’ve not tried. I find it difficult to get too excited about black inks.

INK SWAB: 153/365 – Caran D’Ache Saffron
Another discontinued ink from Caran D’Ache. I didn’t have the opportunity to write with this one, but it sure looks pretty, yes?
INK SWAB: 126/365 – Caran d’Ache Blue Night
A nice blue-black from the discontinued line of Caran d’Ache inks.
Fun Fact: I could never remember if it’s the D or the A that gets capitalized in d’Ache.
Fun Fact #2: I remember it now be thinking about a Terrible Ache – so bad that the A needs to be capitalized.
Fun Fact #3: I over share sometimes.
INK SWAB: 115/365 – Caran d’Ache Sunset
I see this ink named Caran d’Ache Sunset Pink in some places online. I’m not sure I’m buying that it is (was) pink. No matter, this vibrant hue has been discontinued. Too bad, too, it is pretty, yes?

Whew. I love this ink. Well, I loved it. Sadly, Amazon is part of the discontinued line of inks from Caran d’Ache and is no longer available. Bummer.

Another ink from the discontinued line of Caran D’ache inks. Such a pretty color – just a hint of red, but not so much that the inks goes purple.

Caran D’ache Grand Canyon is from their line of discontinued inks. I’ve not written with it because we all know that I don’t do brown inks.

I’m not really sure what else to say about black inks. Even though they may write very differently, they look very similar in the swabs.

Caran d’Ache Caribbean Sea is another among the discontinued line of Caran d’Ache inks.
I’ve not written with this ink. Teals are generally not my cup of tea. What do you think of this color?
INK SWAB: 4/365 – Caran d’Ache Storm
Caran d’Ache Storm is a soft and dusky purple. Anecdotally, I’d say it was also the most popular of the now-discontinued line of inks. (They entire line was discontinued and replaced by a new fancy <expensive> line.)
